New African Writing: The Top Fifteen Entries

Hello, everyone. We are glad to announce the fifteen short stories selected for the first phase of the New African Writing contest. They are, in no particular order:

Congratulations to the writers, and thanks to everyone who sent in their stories. The selected entries will be critiqued by our esteemed panel and, pending further review, stand the chance of being published in our e-book collection of short stories later this year.

There will be an evening of readings, where the selected short stories will be read and critiqued. The event holds tomorrow, 10 February, at 6 pm. The venue is The Life House, 33 Sinari Daranijo Street, off Younis Bashorun Street, off Ajose Adeogun Street. Entry is free and everyone is invited.

  1. Wow,congratulations to the lucky winners,i am proud of all of you.I didn’t get to submit mine.Am particularly happy that at last the Nigerian young writers are doing great,keep it up young writers. And to farafina kachifo,keep the flag flying,more power to your elbow.
